We are looking to appoint a new chair for the iBRANet network of breast and reconstructive and plastic surgeons.
Applicants should be innovative and collaborative with a good understanding of the current research landscape including the funding of research; in particular a good knowledge of, and demonstrable experience in, the practical business of getting clinical studies up and running, getting collaborators on board and recruiting to time and target is needed. Applicants will need demonstrable experience and understanding of working and collaborating with the large multidisciplinary teams that are needed to deliver effective evaluation of new techniques and devices.
The appointee will need to be committed to ‘no innovation without evaluation’
The appointee will need great communication skills and to be able to liaise and work effectively with a wide range of consultants, trainees, patients, industry, and clinical trials units in the setting up and oversight of evaluation and safe introduction of new techniques and devices.
